High Definition Wireless Barn Cameras for livestock

Add Wi-Fi In Your Barn (for free)

Those using Starlink, don't attempt this (yet).  We have heard and observed on a couple occasions (we believe), that they have a configuration that will not allow a router to be installed down stream on your local network.  It shuts down the Starlink router. It keeps you from sharing Internet.

Adding a Router / Wi-Fi to a barn or outbuilding
You can easily add free Wi-Fi coverage inside your barn with our camera system, or just the antennas.  You will need to provide a router and ethernet cable, but it's very simple.  No more dropped phone calls, use automated devices, or just stream music while you work.  The speeds will be similar to your home internet and use it's data (if you're limited).

If you are purchasing or have a camera system, skip to the bottom.  If you simply want to add your home's Internet to a barn/building without a camera system, continue reading.

Our HD antennas are capable of moving your home's Internet to the barn without a monthly cost.  You'll have to supply your own router, but the setup is pretty straight forward.  Our 3 mile line of sight antennas will move your home's internet to the barn (antenna to antenna) and simply add a router inside where our barn system will normally connect.  The rules are the same as the camera systems.  You must have line of sight or line of sight with minor obstacles. If your barn or house have metal or masonry walls, the antennas need to be placed outside and aimed at each other.  Windows might work if close, but many times the reflections provides varying results.  At the house, the antenna connects into your Wi-Fi Router with Ethernet cable. At the barn, the antenna is connected inside with ethernet cable to a router to the router's WAN or Internet jack. Be sure you are using a normal router, not a phone line router a phone jack Internet in jack.  The Internet speeds will be similar to your home providing you have no obsticals.  If it's slow at the house, it'll be slow at the barn.  Give us a call if you're interested.

If you are purchasing or have a barn camera system, good news!  Your barn camera system has the ability to add your home's Internet to the barn (for free).  Below are options on how to add Wi-Fi Internet inside your barn.  Options 1 and 2 are for those using or purchasing our High Definition Barn Camera System. If you have or are purchasing the Hybrid Barn Camera System, skip straight to option 3 as you are ready to add a router.  Stand-Alone Systems won't work as they are set up to work without any Internet.

Option #1 for High Def System (the cheapest)

When running the customer supplied Ethernet cable from the barn antenna inside to the power plug and barn camera equipment, run a second cable side by side. One of the cables will connect to the camera equipment as shown in your diagram, the other will connect to a router you supply. You'll have to setup the WiFi password etc.. but it's no different than if you installed it in your home. Most routers come with preset WiFi names and Passwords. To change this, you'll usually have to take a laptop to the barn or just use the defaults. Now you'll have WiFi when you enter the barn and phone calls if enabled. Using this method requires drilling a second access hole in the bottom antenna cover (plastic)

Option #2 for High Def System (the best)

If your cable run is long or a pain in the butt, this option will allow you to add the router through the same cable your cameras are operating. This is also good quick option for those already installed. You can purchase a simple Ethernet Switch and install it at the end of the cable that normally connects into the barn camera equipment. The switch box will have multiple jacks. Then with short pieces of Ethernet cable, connect the camera system and your router to the switch. This will feed the camera box back to the antenna and keep the cameras on the home network, so you'll still have access to the "home" settings. If you have any other equipment that needs an Ethernet connection to the Internet (automation equipment) you can use the additional jacks.

Option #3 for Hybrid Systems.

You already have a POE switch in your barn. Simply connecting a router to an empty jack will provide Internet in the barn.  We cannot provide support on the router.
